URIAH HEEP LIVE DATES 2023 - 2024
Uriah Heep recently announced a four-date South American tour in December 2023:
Dec. 5, Cercado De Lima, Peru
Dec. 7, Recoleta, Chile
Dec. 9, Curitiba, Brazil
Dec, 10, Sao Paulo, Brazil
These are the only headlining dates confirmed so far for 2023 & 2024. From 11th March to 3rd April 2024 the band will be touring in Europe with Judas Priest and Saxon. From 5th to 10th April 2024 they will be on board On The Blue New Horizons cruise sailing from Miami Gardens, Florida. Also in July 2024 there's one festival date in Sweden and one concert in Austia with Toto and Slade.

27th January 2023 the long awaited new studio album from Uriah Heep released. Title of the album is Chaos & Colour. The band has changed record label and the album is released on a UK company Silver Lining Music.

Due to promoter RH Entertainment going bankrupt the concerts this week in Helsinki, Turku and Oulu have been cancelled. Ikaalinen SPA concert 18th Nov. will happen as planned.

Some Rock In The City festivals (Valkeakoski, Lahti ja Lappeenranta) where Uriah Heep were scheduled to perform have been cancelled because of too low advance sales. There will be lots of concerts for Uriah Heep in Finland this Summer. Twelve concerts have recently been announced (in addition to July concerts with Deep Purple & Accept and 50th anniversary tour concerts in November announced already earlier) - mostly at Rock In The City festival tour. Uriah Heep has announced the dates of 50th anniversary European tour which was originally scheduled for year 2020. It includes 61 concerts in 26 countries and goes on from 9th September to 15th December - including three concerts in Finland in Helsinki, Turku & Oulu in November. Uriah Heep has just completed recordings of the next studio album which is produced and mixed by Jay Ruston who produced also the previous album Living The Dream. There's no more information available yet.
The band will be playing live in Finland again in July 2022 together with Deep Purple & Accept in Tampere & Pietarsaari. Tickets available in advance from Lippupiste.

JOHN LAWTON HAS DIED
Former Uriah Heep vocalist John Lawton has died suddenly on 29th June at the age of 74. He was in the band from 1976 to 1979 and sang on three studio albums & one live album. He also substituted current vocalist Bernie Shaw on two tours in 1995 & 2013 and guested at several concerts in the last twenty years.

TWO NEW URIAH HEEP BOOKS COMING SOON
Wymer Publishing will be publishing Uriah Heep - A Visual Biography on 16th April. It's a hardback book size A4 (297 x 210mm) and contains 240 pages. The book contains many previously unpublished photos, along with rare memorabilia and artefacts. See the press release here.

Sonicbond Publishing will be publishing Uriah Heep in the 1970's book by Steve Pilkington on 25th March. It has 160 pages and as the title says concentrates on the first 10 years of the ban'ds history.

IN MEMORY OF THOSE WHO ARE NO LONGER WITH US
Lee Kerslake who played the drums in Uriah Heep for 35 years lost his long battle against cancer and died 19th September at 73 years of age. Less than two months later Ken Hensley - the musical leader and main song writer of Uriah Heep for the first ten years and played keyboards & guitar and also sang some lead vocals - died after short ilness on 4th November aged 75 years. This means that guitarist Mick Box is the only one of the classic line-up 1972-1975 who is still alive. Bass guitarist Gary Thain passed away already in 1975 and vocalist David Byron in 1985. John Wetton who played bass guitar 1975-1976 also died in 2017.
They all are gone but will never be forgotten.

URIAH HEEP 50 YEARS IN ROCK BOXED SET
BMG is releasing Uriah Heep 50th anniversary boxed set 30th October. This massive set includes 24 discs in total (23 CD's and one LP). All 24 original studio albums and Uriah Heep Live from 1973 are included on 19 CD's - which means obviously that some cd's include two albums.

50TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR AND NEW ALBUM IN 2021
Due to Corona virus pandemic Uriah Heep won't be touring anymore in year 2020. The 50th anniversary tour will then go on in 2021 a year later as originally planned. At the moment the next concerts confirmed are the Russian tour in April 2021. The band has also plans to record a new studio album to be released sometime in 2021. LIVING THE DREAM 28th AT OFFICIAL ALBUM CHART IN FINLAND
The new album Living The Dream went directly to nr. 28 on the official Finnish album chart: At physical album chart it went to nr. 6! Also in other countries charts success has been good - in Switzerland & Germany even to Top 10 which are the best chart positiong for the band after the 1970's.

URIAH HEEP TO HANKO IN AUGUST
Besides previously announced gigs (see earlier news) Uriah Heep wil perform at Hangon Casino 10th August. This is alreade the seventh confirmed concert in Finland in 2918 and the only headlining concert this Summer. There will also be at least one support band which will be confirmed later.

URIAH HEEP COMES TO FINLAND IN NOVEMBER/DECEMBER FOR FOUR CONCERTS
Uriah Heep will come to Finland during their Living The Dream tour. First three concerts were announced: 29th Nov Helsinki Kulttuuritalo, 30th Nov Sein joki Areena & 1st Dec Oulu Areena. Later fourth concert was added: 2nd Dece. Pori Promenadisali. Also The Zombies will appear as special guest at all other concerts except in Pori. The new studio album will be released in September so there will be new material played at the concerts. Already before this heep will perform two festival gigs in the Summer: 14t July Tampere & 4th Aug Forssa.
