Clarke was a member of Uriah Heep only for a short time, he left of personal reasons after a couple of months of touring. He did participate on some recording sessions from which the 7" single 'The Wizard/Why' was taken. He co-wrote the a-side with Ken Hensley and also sings part of the lead vocals. The same version appeared on Demons & Wizards album. The single was released after Clarke had left the band. RECORDINGS 7" The Wizard / Why 1972 Before joining Heep Clarke was a member of Colosseum. After leaving Heep he has played in Tempest, Natural Gas, Mountain, Colosseum II among others. He also plays Ken Hensley's solo albums 'Eager To Please' and 'Free Spirit'.
